Noël is a design advisor at The Theatre School at DePaul. In addition to theatre, she has designed pieces for choreographers Ginny Sykes, Wendy Clinard, the George Balanchine Trust, and the Antony Tudor Trust. Film design credits include Olympia and Cliff. Noël is a graduate of Oklahoma University.

Jordan is thrilled to be a part of the design team for X and returning to the world of theatre after a brief design hiatus. Previous Sideshow shows include Tyrant, The Burden of Not Having a Tail, The Gacy Play, Heddatron, and Theories of the Sun. She has worked around town with such companies as Strawdog, Lifeline, and The Arc. Most recently she designed Prophet$ at The Factory. When not designing, Jordan teaches at Wright College. She has an MFA from The Ohio State University.
Michael Huey

Michael has composed music and designed sound for more than 60 theatrical productions across the Chicago area. He has a long-running history with Sideshow Theatre in addition to Adventure Stage, Filament Theatre, North Park University, Lookingglass, Steppenwolf, Bros do Prose, Chicago Shakespeare, and more. In 2015 he composed the film score for the thriller Dark Awakening as well as the magical Legend of Amba. Paul practices projection design out of Chicago and Washington, D.C. Selected credits: The Color Purple (Drury Lane), Photograph 51 (Court Theatre), Tilikum (Sideshow Theatre Company; Jeff Award), The Vagrant Trilogy (Mosaic Theatre Company), Sotto Voce (Theater J), United Flight 232 (The House Theatre of Chicago), Beauty’s Daughter (American Blues Theater; Jeff nomination), Twisted Melodies (Congo Square Theatre), The Glass Menagerie (The Hypocrites), and Churchill (SoloChicago Theatre). Emily is thrilled to be finally be working with Sideshow Theatre. Ms. Boyd originally hails from San Antonio, TX but came to the second city for college and never left. Ms. Boyd attended The Theatre School at DePaul University, where she received her BFA in scene design, and studied abroad at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Emily has worked with such companies as Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Broadway in Chicago, Porchlight, Metropolis Theatre, Trollwood Performing Arts School, (re)Discover Theatre, Underscore Theatre Company, The Chicago Children's Theatre, BoHo Theatre, Otherworld Theatre, The Circle Theatre, and Haven Theatre where she is currently the resident props master. Though Ms. Boyd’s degree is in scenic design, she has worked in a variety of departments in theater's technical field including props, scenic painting, scenic design, practical special effects, and carpentry. Favorite productions of Ms. Boyd's work are: The Total Bent (Haven Theatre, props designer), The Displaced (Haven Theatre, props and special effects designer), Down the Rocky Road, All the Way to Bedlam (Otherworld Theatre, scenic designer,) and The Wiz (Kokandy Productions, scenic Charge). Emily is also the founder and head artist at Sass Flash and Graphics.

Justin is a director, dramaturg, and producer interested in how the history of theatre can help shape the future of it. As a director and assistant director, he has worked with; Goodman Theatre, 16th Street Theatre, Pride Films and Plays, Eclipse Theatre Company, Eclectic Full Contact Theatre, Steep Theatre, Red Theatre Company, Umbrella Arts Center (Massachusetts), First Floor Theatre, Headline Theatre Project, and Orlando International Theatre Festival (Florida). He returns to Sideshow after dramaturging HeLa by J. Nicole Brooks last year. Other experience includes; ten years with the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild, a nominator for the 2017 & 2019 Kilroy's List, a year developing new projects with the Creative Entertainment Studios of Walt Disney Imagineering and marketing associate with Sideshow Theatre Company. Education includes a BFA in theatre from Salem State University, a literary management and dramaturgy internship at Goodman Theatre, an independent study at the Tennessee Williams Institute and, most recently, a member of the 2019/2020 Observership Class with the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation.

Will is so excited to join this talented production team for Sideshow's X. He moved to Chicago after technical directing two summer seasons at Timber Lake Playhouse in Mt. Carroll, IL. Since then he's tech directed Noises Off (Windy City Playhouse), Bright Star (BoHo), Cambodian Rock Band (Victory Gardens), and is now the resident technical supervisor for Music Theater Works in Evanston.

She has worked around town with such companies as Strawdog, Lifeline, and The Arc. Most recently she designed Prophet$ at The Factory. When not designing, Jordan teaches at Wright College. She has an MFA from The Ohio State University.
Michael Huey
composer / sound designer
Michael has composed music and designed sound for more than 60 theatrical productions across the Chicago area. He has a long-running history with Sideshow Theatre in addition to Adventure Stage, Filament Theatre, North Park University, Lookingglass, Steppenwolf, Bros do Prose, Chicago Shakespeare, and more. In 2015 he composed the film score for the thriller Dark Awakening as well as the magical Legend of Amba. His music will be heard next in Lookingglass Theatre’s Her Honor Jane Byrne (written and directed by J. Nicole Brooks). Music and more can be found at officialmichaelhuey.com.
Paul Deziel
projections designer
Paul practices projection design out of Chicago and Washington, D.C. Selected credits: The Color Purple (Drury Lane), Photograph 51 (Court Theatre), Tilikum (Sideshow Theatre Company; Jeff Award), The Vagrant Trilogy (Mosaic Theatre Company), Sotto Voce (Theater J), United Flight 232 (The House Theatre of Chicago), Beauty’s Daughter (American Blues Theater; Jeff nomination), Twisted Melodies (Congo Square Theatre), The Glass Menagerie (The Hypocrites), and Churchill (SoloChicago Theatre). Paul is an artistic affiliate with American Blues Theater. He received an MFA in projection and multimedia design from the University of Maryland. Outside of theatre, Paul enjoys tabletop gaming and ink rendering.
Emily Boyd
properties designer
Emily is thrilled to be finally be working with Sideshow Theatre. Ms. Boyd originally hails from San Antonio, TX but came to the second city for college and never left. Ms. Boyd attended The Theatre School at DePaul University, where she received her BFA in scene design, and studied abroad at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Emily has worked with such companies as Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Broadway in Chicago, Porchlight, Metropolis Theatre, Trollwood Performing Arts School, (re)Discover Theatre, Underscore Theatre Company, The Chicago Children's Theatre, BoHo Theatre, Otherworld Theatre, The Circle Theatre, and Haven Theatre where she is currently the resident props master. Though Ms. Boyd’s degree is in scenic design, she has worked in a variety of departments in theater's technical field including props, scenic painting, scenic design, practical special effects, and carpentry. Favorite productions of Ms. Boyd's work are: The Total Bent (Haven Theatre, props designer), The Displaced (Haven Theatre, props and special effects designer), Down the Rocky Road, All the Way to Bedlam (Otherworld Theatre, scenic designer,) and The Wiz (Kokandy Productions, scenic Charge). Emily is also the founder and head artist at Sass Flash and Graphics.

Catherine Allen
production manager
Catherine is thrilled to be back with Sideshow Theatre where she previously production managed HeLa. She has also worked with Steep Theatre, where she is an artistic associate, Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, About Face Theatre, Griffin Theatre, Route 66, Congo Square, Oak Park Festival Theatre, Pegasus Theatre Chicago, Haven Theatre, and many circuses with Actors Gymnasium where she is the staff production manager. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she received a BFA in acting.
Justin J. Sacramone
dramaturg
Justin is a director, dramaturg, and producer interested in how the history of theatre can help shape the future of it. As a director and assistant director, he has worked with; Goodman Theatre, 16th Street Theatre, Pride Films and Plays, Eclipse Theatre Company, Eclectic Full Contact Theatre, Steep Theatre, Red Theatre Company, Umbrella Arts Center (Massachusetts), First Floor Theatre, Headline Theatre Project, and Orlando International Theatre Festival (Florida). He returns to Sideshow after dramaturging HeLa by J. Nicole Brooks last year. Other experience includes; ten years with the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild, a nominator for the 2017 & 2019 Kilroy's List, a year developing new projects with the Creative Entertainment Studios of Walt Disney Imagineering and marketing associate with Sideshow Theatre Company. Education includes a BFA in theatre from Salem State University, a literary management and dramaturgy internship at Goodman Theatre, an independent study at the Tennessee Williams Institute and, most recently, a member of the 2019/2020 Observership Class with the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation.
Will Hughes
technical director
Will is so excited to join this talented production team for Sideshow's X. He moved to Chicago after technical directing two summer seasons at Timber Lake Playhouse in Mt. Carroll, IL. Since then he's tech directed Noises Off (Windy City Playhouse), Bright Star (BoHo), Cambodian Rock Band (Victory Gardens), and is now the resident technical supervisor for Music Theater Works in Evanston.
First, they called it X. Then, they called it Pluto. Now, they're not calling at all.
Billions of miles from home, a lone research base waits to receive another message from Earth. It’s been three weeks. It’s never been this long. The crew attempts to maintain normal operations, but as the silence grows louder, the darkness outside the station starts to creep in.
