Matt proudly serves as producing artistic director of Sideshow Theatre Company, where he was last seen in Mai Dang Lao and both iterations of Stupid Fucking Bird. Matt received his BA in drama at the University of Virginia.

Katy is an ensemble member with Sideshow where her credits include No More Sad Things (Jessiee), Stupid Fucking Bird (Mash) and Idomeneus (Monster/Ensemble). She also can be seen wrestling in CLLAW (Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers) events as Hillary Rod-Arm Clinton. She has acted in Chicago with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Steppenwolf, Goodman, Building Stage, Vintage Theater Collective, New Beast and Collaboraction. She is a stakeholder in the Backroom Shakespeare Project, co-founded Pivot Arts, created Chicago Movieoke, and is newly a cheerleader with Mucca Pazza. She graduated with a BFA from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater Actor Training Program.

Fresh from his win as “Best Supporting Actor” at this year’s Non-Equity Jeff Awards for his role as the Father in Griffin Theatre Company's Golden Boy, Norm is excited to be taking the stage with Sideshow for the first time. His Chicago stage credits include: Steep Theater’s highly acclaimed Festen and Tony winner Joe DiPietro’s F**king Men. Woodel’s television and film work includes Matlock, The Client, and a music video with Dolly Parton. He’s one of Chicago’s most successful voice over actors - voicing promos for CBS News and commercials for Subway to name a few.

Nina's credits with Sideshow include Chalk, Stupid Fucking Bird, The Ugly One and Heddatron. Nina was most recently seen in The Other Place (Profiles Theatre). Other credits include: Golden Boy (Griffin Theatre Company-Jeff Nomination for Best Supporting Actress); Bedroom Farce, After the Fall, Candles to the Sun and Democracy (Eclipse Theatre Company); Our Town (Lookingglass Theatre Company); Sketchbook 7 - "It's About Time" (Collaboraction) and work with About Face Theatre, Timeline, and Steep Theatre. TV/Film credits include Chicago PD, The Secret Santa, and The Discovery Channel. Nina is a proud graduate of the School at Steppenwolf and Millikin University. Stacy was last seen in Cicada with Route 66 Theatre. She is a company member with The Hypocrites and The House Theatre and she has worked with Strawdog, The Michigan Shakespeare Festival and The Court Theatre. She was nominated for Jeff Awards for her work in Assisted Living at Profiles Theatre and for playing Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire at Writers' Theatre. Stacy performed off-Broadway in The Fourth Graders Present an Unnamed Love Suicide and she was seen on TV in The Chicago Code and Chicago Fire. She is represented by Paonessa Talent and she is very happy to be married to Matt Hawkins.

Jonathan has been the artistic director of Sideshow Theatre since its founding in 2007. He has directed and assisted for Sideshow, Greenhouse Theater Center, Lookingglass, Steppenwolf, Goodman, Diversionary Theatre, Chicago Dramatists, Theatre Seven of Chicago, Pavement Group and the Earl Hamner, Jr. Theatre. Recent projects include truth and reconciliation, The Happiest Place on Earth, Antigonick, Stupid Fucking Bird, Idomeneus (Jeff Award for ensemble), and others. Recent dramaturgy credits include Blind Date, Objects in the Mirror, Gloria, War Paint, The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window, and Disgraced, all at Goodman Theatre. Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Virginia, currently serves on the board of directors of the League of Chicago Theatres, and is the literary manager for Goodman Theatre.

Joe Schermoly

Joe is so happy to be back with Sideshow and Mr. Green working on this crazy play, having previously designed Idomeneus and The Ugly One. Joe is a Griffin Theatre company member where he has designed and built sets for many shows including Spelling Bee, Flare Path, Punk Rock, No More Dead Dogs, Port, Constant Wife. Elsewhere in Chicago, Joe's set design work has been seen at Lifeline Theatre (Tale of Two Cities, The Count of Monte Cristo, The City and The City), Theatre Wit (Seven Mammoths, Completeness), Strawdog Theatre (Duchess of Malfi, Master and Margarita, Richard III) and more. Joe studied set design at Northwestern University and is the technical director at Lifeline Theatre. He has received two After Dark Awards and two Jeff Nominations.

Noël hails from Tulsa, Oklahoma and is a graduate of Oklahoma University. Noël is an artistic associate at Sideshow Theatre Company, where her credits include: truth and reconciliation, Stupid Fucking Bird and Antigonick. Noël is a resident artist at Filament Theatre, where her credits include Robin Hood, Van Gogh Café, Pinocchio: A Folk Musical, Hank Williams Lost Highway and others; and an ensemble member at Interrobang Theatre, where she designed Still, North Pool, Pitchfork Disney and others. Noël designed the 2016 New Stages at the Goodman: Blue Skies Process and Support Group for Men. Noël wrapped her first full-length film design, Olympia: an Instruction Manual for Everything, in the summer.

Jay is joining Sideshow Theatre Company for the first time and is excited to be providing props for Stupid Fucking Bird. Jay has designed and built props for Goodman Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, American Players Theatre, Theatre 502, and Musical Theatre Louisville. Known for his ability to produce special effects, Jay’s self-igniting cigarette was used in multiple stagings of The Mountaintop, both in Louisville and at Fusion Theatre Company in Albuquerque, and his Dracula effects were featured in Stage Directions Magazine. When not working on theatre, Jay creates and produces puppets.

Aaron Shapiro is a Chicago based freelance production manager. His recent credits include Disenchanted and Unspeakable at the Broadway Playhouse, Jeff-nominated productions of Heathers with Kokandy Productions, The Rainmaker with American Blues Theatre, Stupid Fucking Bird with Sideshow Theatre, Dreamgirls, Far from Heaven, Sweeney Todd, A Funny Thing Happened, Side Show, and Jeff Award-winning productions of Ain’t Misbehavin’ and Sondheim on Sondheim with Porchlight Music Theatre where he is an artistic associate. Aaron was the founding artistic director for Oracle where he served for 4 years. He is also the co-founder of Studio BE/MCL Chicago in Lakeview where served as executive director for 5 years. Aaron has worked for over 80 different theatre and production companies, and educational institutions as an electrician, carpenter, sound engineer, designer, tech director, director, production manager, and producer.
